Advancing freshwater restoration

It was a real honor to present EcoAdvance at the Society for Ecological Restoration (SER) Virtual Annual Conference today. Great opportunity to discuss how to keep freshwater restoration on track with leading practicing restorers and restoration scientists. The presentation focused on a new approach: promote the contributions of individuals in addition to the institutions and organizations and document - invideo interviews - their personal advice on how to make meaningful change. We illustrated the approach with our Star Scientist program and included a video of Lisa Waldenberger interviewing Helmut Habersack to talk about how to make a difference to freshwater ecosystems. 

Tomorrow the  UnEnvironment program launches the 2023 edition of the #NatureforLifeHub and we are proud to be part of it.

It takes real vison to understand that it is the people -- the individuals - who make a difference..whether by new ideas, pushing important missions forward day by day, overcoming obstacles to restoration and SDGs, not allowing the barriers to stop improvements, thinking around the obstacles, creating new pathways to focus attention on restoring freshwaters and our ecosystems.
