Borjana is a postdoc at the University of Twente. With a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a master's in water engineering, her expertise is in modeling fluvial flood patterns and designing adaptive measures. Her PhD research focused on developing participatory design tools (stakeholder co-creation) for climate adaptation and modeling the multifunctionality of nature-based solutions using integrated models, such as carbon and hydrological models. She is also passionate about bridging science and society, particularly in communicating climate change messages to inspire collective action.
