Advancing freshwater restoration

Anna-Sophie was selected because of her work as part of the LIFE+ project "Ausseerland". She was part of developing management plans and conservation measures on the ground. The project was accompanied by mapping and monitoring processes as well as public outreach.

This organisation is part of the Danube Parks network that unites Austria’s national parks along the Danube River, emphasizing their special role in nature conservation. These parks are not only important for Austria but also hold international significance, having developed into centers for environmental education and successful regional flagship projects.
